Privacy on getdre.com
We measure which parts of the site help people understand DRE, so we can improve it. We do it ourselves, on our own Cloudflare Worker, with no advertising or third-party trackers.
What we record
- Page views and clicks on links and buttons, such as copying the install command or opening the docs.
- How far down the homepage you scroll and how long it stays visible.
- Coarse context: country, the referring website’s name and whether the screen is phone, tablet or desktop size.
- Which homepage version you saw. We sometimes compare two designs; a cookie named
dre_abholds only the letter of yours, so it stays the same when you come back.
What we never record
- Your IP address. To count visitors per day we store a one-way hash of the IP, browser and date with a secret that changes the result every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next.
- Names, email addresses, form contents or anything you type.
- Cross-site identifiers. Nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.
Opting out
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is recorded at all. The YAML builder records nothing either: what you do there stays in your browser. Blocking cookies only resets which homepage version you see.
How long we keep it
Events are stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine, which keeps them for about three months.
The contact form
Messages sent through the contact form go through Web3Forms, with an hCaptcha spam check, so we can reply. Email hello@getdre.com with any question about your data.
